Chapter 5: Overview
A look through Chapter 5 will show that it is straightforward with just two scenes for us to read: the exorcism in 5,1-20 followed by the healing of the girl and the woman in 5,21-43.
At this point it is helpful for us to note how chapters 4 & 5 have been arranged by Jesus' movements in a boat: 4,1; 4,35; 5,1; 5,21. We will be seeing more of the boat as we continue our reading.
We can now go straight on to our reading of the story of the man possessed by Legion, 5.1-20.
