As the story of the Passion is told in chapters 26 and 27, we made our overview of the two chapters together. There we noted the major division in the story comes at 27,11. There the story changed from a Jewish to a Roman setting as Jesus stands before the governor.
This is then followed by the soldiers taking charge of Jesus in verse 27.
The other markers in the chapter are the references to time in verses 45 and 57. We can read the death and burial of Jesus together.
